Nila Ray

Nila received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin in 2006. After graduating from UT Austin, Nila worked at Air Liquide. She began her career in a corporate leadership program for new engineers. Nila gained experience in a variety of positions including Plant Engineer, Business Development Specialist, Intellectual Property Analyst, and other roles.

After completing the corporate leadership program at Air Liquide, Nila worked as Quality Manager for the bulk gas business. In this role, she implemented quality control procedures mandated by internal and federal guidelines and prepared ASU plants for FDA audits. During this time, Nila began attending law school in the evenings at South Texas College of Law, while continuing to work full time at Air Liquide. Later, Nila transitioned back into the Intellectual Property department at Air Liquide prior to graduating from law school. Her duties included preparing NDAs, MTAs, Purchase and Sale Agreements, and assisting with procurement of patent and trademark protection.

During law school, Nila was a member of Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society and served as a Student Editor for the Construction Law Journal. Nila also interned at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office as a Patent Examiner and passed the February 2014 Texas Bar Exam. Upon graduation in May 2014, Nila worked for an intellectual property law firm in Houston prior to joining Fletcher Yoder.

Nila's technical areas of focus primarily include the chemical and mechanical arts, such as chemical processes, combustion engines and turbines, and industrial systems and controls.
