A.J. graduated cum laude and was selected for distinction by the Physics Department Faculty of Hendrix College in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in Physics and summa cum laude from Washington University in Saint Louis with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2012. While an undergraduate student, A.J. conducted research at Princeton University on quantum cascade lasers and microlens arrays.  During his undergraduate career, A.J. served as a teaching assistant, interned with an S&P 100 company, and was a member of the Hendrix College track & field team.

In 2012, A.J. began law school at the University of Texas. As a law student, A.J. was a member of the University of Texas Intellectual Property Society and served as an Intellectual Property legal intern with a semiconductor company.  In May 2015, A.J. graduated and subsequently passed the July 2015 Texas Bar Exam.  After graduating from Texas, A.J. worked as a patent prosecution associate, representing Fortune 100 clients with particular focus in the oil and gas, software, hardware, and quantum computing industries.

A.J. joined Fletcher Yoder in October 2019.  His areas of technological familiarity include control systems, semiconductor fabrication and design, computer hardware and software, database management, quantum computing, downhole oil and gas tools, and a wide variety of other electrical and mechanical arts.
